Jade Gemstones listed in the Bible

The High Priest's Breastpiece (Exodus 28:20, 39:13): In modern translations like the New English Bible (NEB) and Watchtower publications, jade is identified as the twelfth stone (the third position in the fourth row) of the High Priest's breastpiece. In older versions, this stone is typically translated as "jasper" (Hebrew: yashepheh).

Ancient Hebrew and Greek terms for gemstones (like * tarshish*, pukked, or leshem) are often difficult to match precisely to modern mineral names, so different Bible versions may use "chrysolite," "beryl," or "jade" depending on interpretation, but the presence of a valuable green stone is consistent. 

In broader cultural contexts, jade symbolizes purity, wisdom, and longevity, which aligns with its presence in biblical descriptions of perfection and glory.
